Reading Progress for October 2022

Happy Halloween!   This month was quite a challenge for me on many levels. I was sick for weeks and that put a dent in my ability to write. Fortunately, I DID get some writing done. Yay! I also managed to finish writing the October ebook this month. Woot! I actually finished writing it today. What a nice way to celebrate Halloween! And a nice way to end a month. Now for NaNoWriMo!   My kids also had their birthdays this month. My oldest is now 21 and that was quite a change! I’m both happy and sad he’s 21 now. He’s just growing so fast! My youngest is now 15 and all he can think about is getting his driver’s permit.   This month’s books I read include books I finished reading which I started reading last month and books I read this month. The numbers reflect how many books I have read so far this year. I was very pleased to see that I have read over 100 books so far this year. Awesome! I think it surpasses one of my other reading challenges for a year...

A good first day of June

Happy June!   So hard to believe it is June already. Wow! School will be out soon. My youngest graduates from 8 th grade in a little over two weeks! I am still trying to process that my baby will be starting high school in the fall.   Anyway, today was a good first day of the month. Every time a month is ending, I always try to wrap up any loose ends for that month and get it all done. I like to have a strong start to the new month. There are “first day of the month” things that I always try to do.   And today, I did them. Yay! So today, I had a strong start to the new month.   Well, I did the “first day of the new month” stuff for June, anyway. Ha.   I am doing two writing challenges this month. Both of these challenges are in my most recent KU book, The Big Book of Writing Challenges .   One of the challenges is one I have already done and another was a challenge that a fellow writer shared about in her newsletter. No, I ha...

Reading Progress for February 2022

Before the new year rolled around, I decided to try completing a reading goal: Keep track of all the books I read this year. Not only this, but track them by number. I wasn’t going to once again try to read 100 books in one year, but since I have a penchant for counting things (I count the steps I take, the number of items in a box, etc.), I knew I would want to know how many books I DID manage to read by the end of the year. To save myself the arduous task of having to count them all on the list, I started keeping count of them with my list from the very beginning.   I am also not going to try to reach some kind of “magical number” of books read each month, but I was pleased to see that, once again, I did manage to read at least 10 books this month. Yay!! What a nice even number of books read in one month! I didn’t expect to read 10 books in one month AGAIN so it is very cool that it happened. Again.   All books on this list includes print books as well as eb...
