Just Me

  As busy as the month of April has been, I am grateful that I still found the time to read. And I was especially grateful to be able to even read at all since I had eye surgery on the first. Because this was the first time I have ever had cataract surgery, I didn’t know what to expect. I was worried I would have a difficult time adjusting to reading with both of my eyes again.   But, no, that’s not what happened at all.   Fortunately, my eye surgery was a success, and vision was restored to my right eye. Hooray!   As for the adjustment to reading with BOTH of my eyes again instead of just with one eye, as I had been doing for nearly a year? It was a piece of cake. In fact, there was no trouble at all! It’s just like riding a bicycle; it came back to me.   April was National Poetry Month, so I made it a point to read some poetry books. Thanks to my digital subscription with Alien Buddha Press, I had plenty of new poetry books arriving in my inbox! Hooray! I wish I could have read them all, but that was not possible.   This month, I created a new reading routine! I am reading two ebooks on my phone in the mornings, then another ebook from a publishing company on my computer. I selected ebooks from ABP for this purpose. Later in the day, I read three more ebooks: One from an author who requested I review their book, then two more from other publishers: Baynam Books Press and either Ghoulish Books or Cursed Morsels Press (depending on which ones I have!). Finally, at night, I read three more ebooks on my phone.   Along with this, I am reading print books as well.   Every year, I try to do something to celebrate National Poetry Month. I love poetry. I love reading it and writing it! In fact, poetry is the first kind of writing that I started writing with !   For this year’s NPM, I decided to read as many poetry books as possible. I ended up doing something more than just this one thing , but that’s the goal I had for the month, just to get started.   Here is the list of all of the poetry books I read this month. Some of them are books I was happy to add to my personal library. As a book reviewer for Reader Views, I was able to obtain two poetry books to review.
