My November Plans: What Did and Did Not Happen

Image
Photo credit: 200degrees via Pixabay   This blog post is a follow-up to the post, “ Looking Forward to November .” I realize that I should have posted this update at the beginning of December, but I wanted to see how the month of December turned out in case I had any other updates about the items in that blog post.   And, at this point in the month, I can say with certainty what did happen that month, what eventually happened in the next month, and what won't happen at all this month or year.   First, I will start with the things that didn’t happen:   The new publishing division for Twisted Dreams Press did not happen in November 2025. We had a problem with the book we were trying to publish, and the author decided to abandon the project. There ARE other books scheduled for this division, but they are not ready to be released yet.   I DID start writing a novel in November but, unfortunately, I have not had the time since to FINISH writing it. Calling it a Day When I Don't Want to Call it a Day

For every day that I’m able to do things, I try to do as much as possible. And as someone who has A LOT going on right now, that can fill up my days!   Which means my days can get pretty busy, and while I’m happy to fill up my days with all of that stuff I am doing and to fill in each day on my planner with all the stuff I MANAGED to do, sometimes I just need to STOP and listen to my body.   Like I had to do last night.   It wasn’t the headaches that made me stop. I had one line left to fill in for the day in my planner, and I wanted to fill it in!       I know I...

The Paths in Life We Choose to Take

While out on an errand recently, a thought struck: My life is the way it is now because of certain choices that I made in life. Certain paths which I chose to take. And if I had chosen a different path, I would be a completely different person. My life would be different.   There are many times when we are at a crossroads in life. We are faced with a moment where we must choose whether to follow this path or that path. The path that we choose will lead us in a completely different direction and changes for our lives. Once on that path, and staying on it, our lives will shift and evolve according to the circumstances surrounding that path.   And sometimes it’s not so much about making a decision to start living a certain way or pursuing a new goal in life (a new path), but also about whether we say “yes” or “no” to a new thing or a new opportunity. If we say yes, then certain changes will take place. If we say no, then we stay in our comfort zone and life stays the same...
