8 Things to Celebrate From My Day

  Today was a good day. I came across an opportunity that will require a 6-week commitment, with 5 weeks of training. I am seriously considering it. If I do, I start training for it tomorrow! I am excited about it. It's one Really Important Thing that I want to do this year. It has been a goal for a long time. I am going to sleep on it before I make a decision, but I am heavily leaning towards "yes." I don't want to talk about it yet but I'm definitely going to write about this experience in the event that I take it on. I probably will!   Meanwhile, here are eight things I have to celebrate from my day.   1. I finally finished writing an article that I have been working on all week. It was a lot of work and a lot of research. I posted it on my other blog and you can read it here .   2. I posted another article online. 10 Things to Celebrate from Today

It's been hard trying to stay postie with all of the bad things going on. The devastation and wreckage from Hurricane Ida. The plight of innocent people in Afghanistan. The violence going on across the country (such as shootings). Wildfires and people losing their homes because of them. But that is what makes my daily task of finding reasons to celebrate even more important. I have had to deal with bad things too, in my personal and writing life. But I think about the good things, my reasons to celebrate from the day, and it makes me feel like that at least there are some good things happening despite the bad things. And we need to focus on those good things. If we can't find anything good in our day, then make something good. Sing, laugh, hug your loved ones and cook a meal for your family or for someone living alone. Here are 10 things I have to celebrate from today. 1. I got to sleep in this morning. 2.
