Books Read in May

  Some good things happened for me this month. I said goodbye to using the eye drops three times a day, Every Single Day, because I finished using them. My doctor FINALLY figured out what kind of medication I should take that helps with the daily headaches (as well as, surprisingly, my daily episode of falling asleep in midday!), and I have been enjoying some headache-free days. Well, the physical kind, anyway; there were quite a few things that happened this month that really got my blood boiling or made me want to scream. Some of those things made me feel like I was being pulled in different directions! I just hope ALL of that is over with and all of us can finally move forward with our lives and our careers.   I had a really nice Mother’s Day this month. The funny thing is that both of my kids got me the same thing, and that put me in the awkward position of having to choose which one to keep. Putting Life on Hold

  One of my favorite quotes is “Don’t let waiting become a habit.” I love this quote because it says a lot about just how much people value your time.   I have always been tapped into things that I need to do RIGHT NOW. Even when I was in school, if I felt I needed to do a particular thing in this point in time, then I did it. I didn’t think, “Gee, maybe I should wait until I am older.” I just did it! There was one time I applied for a correspondence writing course. They turned me down because I was too young (I was 16 at the time). They encouraged me to go out into the world and get some life experience first, then come back to reapply. (Which I did and … didn’t.)   It’s just that if I feel compelled to do something RIGHT NOW, then I do it!   Sometimes, though, there have been people in my life who I NEEDED to do things with, but they weren’t all that decisive about whether they wanted to go through with it – either with me, personally, or at that part...
