Reading Progress for February 2022

Before the new year rolled around, I decided to try completing a reading goal: Keep track of all the books I read this year. Not only this, but track them by number. I wasn’t going to once again try to read 100 books in one year, but since I have a penchant for counting things (I count the steps I take, the number of items in a box, etc.), I knew I would want to know how many books I DID manage to read by the end of the year. To save myself the arduous task of having to count them all on the list, I started keeping count of them with my list from the very beginning.   I am also not going to try to reach some kind of “magical number” of books read each month, but I was pleased to see that, once again, I did manage to read at least 10 books this month. Yay!! What a nice even number of books read in one month! I didn’t expect to read 10 books in one month AGAIN so it is very cool that it happened. Again.   All books on this list includes print books as well as ebooks.   Th

The Note

“Did you write in your journal last night?”   The question caught me off guard. I was dropping my oldest off for work this morning, but before he got out of the car, he asked me this question.   I thought about when I had gone to bed last night. I usually write in my journal just before I go to bed. Sometimes I write in the journal if there is something that I need to write in it earlier in the day, but, for the most part, I usually write in it just before going to sleep.   But that didn’t happen last night. Last night, it was almost 12:30AM when I finally got to bed, and I was exhausted. I hadn’t thought about the journal at all!   “No,” I replied. “But I blogged.”   “Check your journal,” he said. Then he mentioned a note he wrote yesterday. I asked about it, but he had to get going, so he repeated the request that I check my journal.   So, I did. And right on top of my journal, in the protective band, was his note he’d written for me for Valentine’s Day.

A Day for Love and Chocolate!

Today is Valentine’s Day but, for me, it’s Love Day. It’s all about sharing love with everyone! The world definitely needs more love, and I feel that it is better to choose love over hate. I made the choice to love everyone no matter what and no matter who they are.   So, today was about the love!   It was also about chocolate and writing. Ha.   But because I view today as “a day for love,” when I needed to get a new kitchen towel out of the drawer this morning (I always get a new towel for the kitchen and bathroom in the mornings), I selected the one that has “love” fingerspelled on it. My sister got me that towel and I LOVE it!   There were some bad things that happened today – I overslept, a neighbor brought up his concerns over people possibly camping in their cars on our street and that got me worried, I was embarrassed after getting stares and strange looks from people in the university over how I had to take one of the twenty steps I was descending one at a t
