My November Plans: What Did and Did Not Happen

Image
Photo credit: 200degrees via Pixabay   This blog post is a follow-up to the post, “ Looking Forward to November .” I realize that I should have posted this update at the beginning of December, but I wanted to see how the month of December turned out in case I had any other updates about the items in that blog post.   And, at this point in the month, I can say with certainty what did happen that month, what eventually happened in the next month, and what won't happen at all this month or year.   First, I will start with the things that didn’t happen:   The new publishing division for Twisted Dreams Press did not happen in November 2025. We had a problem with the book we were trying to publish, and the author decided to abandon the project. There ARE other books scheduled for this division, but they are not ready to be released yet.   I DID start writing a novel in November but, unfortunately, I have not had the time since to FINISH writing it. Looking Forward to November

It’s kinda weird writing this blog post. I just wrote another blog post where I summed up all the bad stuff that happened in October, as well as this year, so I was feeling pretty disheartened after I finished writing it.   Should I look forward to the new month that is upon us? For every day that I’m able to do things, I try to do as much as possible. And as someone who has A LOT going on right now, that can fill up my days!   Which means my days can get pretty busy, and while I’m happy to fill up my days with all of that stuff I am doing and to fill in each day on my planner with all the stuff I MANAGED to do, sometimes I just need to STOP and listen to my body.   Like I had to do last night.   It wasn’t the headaches that made me stop. It wasn’t the sleepiness that made me stop.   I had just run out of steam. It was after midnight and I could barely keep my eyes open (even though, currently, I am only able to see out of just one eye!). I had just completed another round of research for one of the articles I am writing this month, and I was ready to conk out.   Except that I didn’t want to. Why? I had one line left to fill in for the day in my planner, and I wanted to fill it in!       I know I...
