5 Things to Celebrate from my Day

Today was an average day. Having a pretty rotten evening tonight, so it’s hard to be in a “celebrate” mood. But here are five good things from today:

1. I got to see a pretty moon tonight. Nah, didn't snap a pic, but I was grateful to see it!

2. Got a lot done with the writing today. And I'm almost done with something I'm writing for the new Tips book!

3. I exercised for a total of one hour today.

4. I drank 10 glasses of water.

5. I posted in the past about how I was doing the "Miracle Morning" routine. It was great, but I didn't really like doing something with my hour according to what ANOTHER person was doing. I prefer to do my own thing. I NEED to do my own thing! And I don't like time limits on what I do, either, because I have a way of doing things.

My morning workout, for example, takes too long for me to do all that stuff in just one hour. And, hey, why make it just for one hour? A miracle morning can last longer than an hour! So I went over the things to do – they ARE good things, btw! – and decided in what order to do them.

And, without time limits!

Here is what I started with:

Meditate (5 minutes)

Affirmations (10 minutes)

Visualize (5 minutes)

Reading (20 minutes)

Write (10 minutes)

Exercise (20 minutes)

And here is what I finish with:

Write

Read

Exercise

Visualization

Affirmations

Meditation

I made this change because, after a while, I didn't want meditation to come first. I got into the habit of "waking up to write” but I missed the routine. So I decided to start it up again, doing the things in an order that worked for me, and without the time limits. And I shower after exercising because I get all sweaty and yucky. Then I do the rest of those things! They are like a cool-down.

I did that this morning and it was great. The best part is that, because I didn't have to rush through my workout, I was able to try an exercise I haven’t done before. I was not able to do this exercise in a satisfactory way but now I will add it to my regime and keep practicing it.

So, those are my five things to celebrate from today. Yay!
